Hear my plea,

I never fathomed it'd be this difficult
The relay is hastening on and I've tripped
I've tripped so bad that I have lost all hope of catching up
Perhaps I'll tie my shoe while I'm at it
As I ponder the simplicity of how it used to be

Courting is dead
Laziness takes it's place
Forgive me, for this is not a relay but
An ultimate failure in anything accomplished
And I don't know what to do

Secret whispered words
Are easily discovered in this town
Gingerly caressing the wound in your back
And shying away from everything uncouth
My friend, you asked for something really displayed
Well,

Reading my words won't change their hearts
My own disheartened feelings can't be shown
My paper and pencil are scratching away those insecurities
And I'm sick of feeling sorry for myself
Let a new light shimmer brightly

Let service and talent triumph
Let him leave your mind
Let go and let them remain unwarned
He's so damn charming
But he doesn't want you, be it known

The challenge of picking up the pieces of this relay
Won't get any easier
So get off your technology impairments
Look a lady in her glistening eyes
And let her know just how much you really are fascinated
