Wasted Shampoo

The man-boy is cautious but defiant
The night I kept wasting shampoo in the shower
Purposefully but without cause
Is the night he wanted to call
Lying on my back, unable to move, in a hooded room with people
It flows considerably, dancing through our eardrums

The most insecure of the insecure
Is the most beautiful of all to me
He left
Will there be a time where small town influence has no control?
It can remind me of a Norman Rockwell picture, innocence and humor all in one

Scoffs and blather
But she’s just shy, unable of expression
Melodies can open up a whole new revolution, where you can cliff dive like Pocahontas
While still lying on your back underneath an ocean of warmth
Yet he still interconnects, even though he left

The other one did too
Trying to let something new in didn’t work
Dancing had a new effect that weekend, different
But let’s all just listen to the music
And maybe things will considerably make more sense
