I'm not asking your forgiveness
If I was,
I'd be outside
but I'm grasping for some
sanity
and begging you to try
the least you could do,
really,
is to walk away
tonight
and for once I will not walk you out
If you're better on your own
then get your cabriolet out of my driveway
and let me be alone
I'll struggle as I try
to scrape from dirty, molded floors
the single ounce of dignity
I swear is there
behind closed doors
buried deep beneath
the crap
and shallow muddled thinking,
I am lost, my vision's
wack, floating, slowly sinking
And damn your dark brown hair
I find it on my shirt
And get your belt off my bedroom floor
it belongs somewhere else
I'm sure
I'm sorry it's gotten to this point
I have nothing left to give
a future so refreshing
is the only hope
I have
forgetting you
impossible
yet the only hope
to live
