them.

positive should outweigh the negative
content and carrying all
but i don't think that's the way they live
they build each other up, but by the next day, fall

how can they live like this?
tearing each other down, filled with emotional attachment
to any onlooker, it's plain obnoxious
all actions lead to the complete opposite of commitment

he tears, she screams, he calls, she crumbles
but all of this is justified with a preconceived "love"
we ask what's going on, she scrambles and jumbles
her words aren't fitting and once she's gone, we're wishing she could see above

he can't let go, even though he's hurt
filled with curious workings and jealous rage
she does anything involving the opposite sex, he's suddenly alert
doing things that should have him engaged

happiness is nowhere to be found in this relationship
they can't seem to let go
no wooing and real love is the basis of this courtship
but them being apart is inevitable, one can forego.
